”Kaufland” – Kaufland Stiftung & Co. KG) is one of the companies retailing in Germany. Kaufland is a division of German group Schwarz-Gruppe (Schwarz Beteiligungs GmbH), which includes other networks known as Lidl and Handelshof KaufMarkt; with over 200,000 employees all over Europe.
In 2014, Schwarz Group has become the largest retail group in Europe, with a turnover of almost 80 billion euros. ”Kaufland” owns over 1000 stores in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania.
